The process begins in the Public Collective Labor Agreements Framework Protocol negotiations, in which the increase in the prices of more than 700 thousand personnel in the public sector will be determined in the 2023-2025 period.

TÜRK-İŞ has prepared the preparations for the 2023 Public Collective Bargaining Contracts Framework Protocol, which concerns more than 700 thousand workers in public institutions and organizations, especially highways, railways, special provincial administrations, sugar factories, power generation plants, coal enterprises, ministries, universities and hospitals. continues.

Under the chairmanship of TÜRK-İŞ General Financial Secretary and YOL-İŞ Union General Leader Ramazan Ağar, the committee established within the Confederation will meet on January 17 to determine the demands for the Framework Protocol.

TÜRK-İŞ, which will determine the demands including the price increase and social rights of the public employee in the 2023-2025 period, will present the draft text to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security with the meeting, in which General Leader Ergün Atalay will also attend.

“We want the agreement to be signed as soon as possible”

In his statement to the AA correspondent, General Financial Secretary Ağar said that the talks that concerned about 200 thousand workers in the previous periods concerned more than 700 thousand people, including those who transferred from the subcontractor system to the team in the public sector.

Stating that public workers have many demands pending analysis, especially price increases, Ağar said:

“We will seek answers to all of our demands during the Public Collective Bargaining Contracts Framework Protocol negotiations. Some of the contracts within the scope of the protocol we signed in 2021 expire this month, while the rest expire in March. These days, when the cost of living has increased and high inflation has reduced the purchasing power, the contract has to be completed as soon as possible. “We want it to be signed with a consensus. In this context, we, as TÜRK-İŞ, will finalize our work this week. Then, we will present our demands regarding financial and social rights to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security as soon as possible and start the bargaining process.”

Other contracts are also of interest.

On the other hand, the 7th Period Collective Contract negotiations covering the years 2024-2025, in which the increase rate to be made to the salaries of approximately 3.5 million civil servants and 2.5 million retired civil servants, will begin with the prestige of August 1.

In this respect, the 2023 Public Collective Labor Contracts Framework Protocol, which concerns public employees, is also valuable in terms of determining the frameworks of collective bargaining agreements to be signed in private branches, especially the collective contracts of civil servants.
