The survey of the CBRT interest rate decision in January by Bloomberg HT Research has been concluded. Market actors expect the CBRT to keep the interest rate constant at this meeting.
The median expectation of 15 institutions participating in the interest rate decision survey, which will be announced on Thursday, January 19, was to keep the political interest rate at 9 percent.
While the lowest expectation was 8 percent and the highest was 9 percent, only one institution participating in the survey stated that there was a 100 basis point reduction expectation.
Eight of the institutions participating in the survey shared their expectations for the end of the year. Estimates indicate that the interest rate will be 23.3 percent at the end of 2023.The institution that gave the lowest expectation shared the estimation of 5 percent, and the institution that gave the highest expectation shared the estimation of 28 percent.
In December 2022, the median expectation for the end of 2023 was 21 percent.
