Speaking at the AK Party Cluster meeting, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements about the economy and elections.
Noting that inflation will decrease rapidly in the coming period, Erdoğan said, “Our biggest problem was inflation, and that’s it. “We have taken our measures, we have established our systems. Now everyone has seen that Turkey cannot be surrendered with the triangle of interest, exchange rate and inflation,” he said.
In his speech, Erdoğan pointed to the 14 May 1950 election, in which former Democratic Party leader Adnan Menderes won the election and assumed the duty of prime minister, and said; “Deceased Menderes came out of the ballot box with a smashing victory by saying ‘Enough of the words of your nation’ on May 14. The deceased Özal, in a nutshell, gained a valuable success in the election he entered under the shadow of the coup.
We came to the government saying, ‘Nothing will ever be the same again’. Now, we demand the support of the nation by saying, ‘Words, decisions and futures belong to the nation’. Our nation will give its answer to the table of six the same day after 73 years. Despite the tutelage enthusiasts, we will start the Turkish Century.”
In a statement he made in Muğla at the weekend, Erdoğan said: “Enough, the word and the decision belong to the nation!” We will reach his destination together,” he said.
