President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements regarding the agenda following the Cabinet Meeting. Erdogan said after the meeting:
We present working with EYT to the discretion of our Assembly soon. We announced the export numbers on the first business day of the new year. I congratulate all our industrialists, producers and exporters for the success of 254.2 billion dollars. We do not find the level we have reached, which we have increased 7 times in the last 20 years, sufficient. On Tuesday, we announced the first stage of the new year’s civil servant and pension increase. We did not feel comfortable with the increase that we declared as 24 percent, and we instructed our relevant ministers to work towards increasing this rate. On Friday, we met with our farmers in the program where we evaluated the agricultural part of our Ziraat Bank.
When we calculate it, Osmangazi Bridge contributed approximately 10 billion dollars, Istanbul-İzmir Highway 29 billion dollars, Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge 5 billion dollars, Eurasia Tunnel 7 billion dollars, and Istanbul Airport 80 billion dollars.
On this occasion, I would like to give a good news. There will be no random increase in the prices of highway and bridge services for the length of the year.
I have presented the 2022 activities of our ministries and our 2023 plans to you. We are determined not only to crush our employees into inflation, but also to maintain employment, with the base price that we will apply as 8,507 liras this year, in the base price carried out last year with the participation of labor and boss representatives.
We took another valuable step by raising the minimum price base to 400 liras. We presented the Supplementary Indicator regulation, which public employees and retirees have been waiting for a long time, to the Parliament.
By extending the deadline for chronic disease and drug reports until 30 June 2023, we provided convenience to our citizens and their relatives. This year, we are preparing our new employment project in accordance with the changing needs of our country and global changes.
