First negative monthly inflation in the US since the pandemic

The US inflation data expected by global markets has been determined.

Consumer prices in the USA increased by 6.5 percent in December compared to the same period of the previous year. On a monthly basis, there was a 0.1 percent decline.

Economists participating in the Bloomberg survey expected an annual increase of 6.5 percent. On a monthly basis, a 0.1 percent decrease in prices was expected.

Consumer prices in the US rose 0.1 percent month on month and 7.1 percent year on year in November.
