Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Minister Murat Kurum shared on his social media account about the acquisition of idle treasury lands into the economy.
The Authority, which also included the infographic in its share, said, “It is both environmentally friendly and economical. We are bringing 300 million square meters of treasury land, which is idle and unsuitable for agriculture, to our economy. Wind and solar power plants will be established on these lands. Thus, we will generate 20 thousand megawatts of renewable power.” used the term.
Unlicensed electricity generation will be possible with renewable power sources.
According to the statement made by the Ministry, a new project will be started by the General Directorate of National Real Estate with the aim of disseminating environment-friendly power sources within the scope of dealing with climate change.
Accordingly, unlicensed electricity generation will be possible with renewable power sources, especially solar power and wind power, on treasury immovables that are not suitable for agricultural production and are idle.
Except for those in the residential and lighting subscriber cluster, mining or geothermal operation license holders, industrialists, individuals in public and private services, and those engaged in agricultural activities with the aim of producing the electricity they need will be able to benefit from the application.
The tenders for the easement and usage permits to be established for the purpose of producing unlicensed electricity on the Treasury immovables will be determined by auction over one percent of the current value of the immovable in accordance with the State Tender Law No. 2886.
With the approval of the easement or occupancy permit tenders for the treasury immovables, investors will be given a one-year pre-authorization for the processes such as making zoning plans, approving implementation projects, and making contact agreements. In case the obligations are fulfilled, an independent and not always qualified easement or use permit may be granted for up to 29 years.
