The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries announced the January-December 2022 export information for Japan.
According to the data, the rate increased by 14.3 percent compared to the previous year.
Japan’s 12-month exports of agricultural, forestry and marine artifacts were recorded as 1.4 trillion yen (about $10.9 billion).
Japan’s exports in these areas reached the highest level ever. It was emphasized that the export rate has continued to rise for the last 10 years.
The easing of the Covid-19 epidemic restrictions, the return of the economy to normal, and the loss of the Japanese yen during the year were effective in this.
Among export items, agricultural works stood out with 887 billion yen, fishery works with 387.3 billion yen, and forestry works with 63.8 billion yen.
In export destinations, China was at the top of the list. Japan’s exports to China in the subject areas increased by 25.2 percent to 278.3 billion yen.
Japanese government targets annual exports of 2 trillion yen by 2025 and 5 trillion yen by 2030
