Kazakhstan to increase oil production to 90.5 million tons in 2023

Kazakhstan Power Minister Bolat Akçulakov stated that they aim to increase oil production to 90.5 million tons this year.

Akçulakov made statements about the country’s power branch at the expanded meeting of the Ministry.

Sharing the information that they produced 84.2 million tons of oil in the past year, Akçulakov stated that they aim to increase this amount to 90.5 million tons in 2023.

Akçulakov said that they exported 64.3 million tons of the total oil produced in 2022, and that they plan to export 71 million tons of oil this year.

Minister Akçulakov also pointed out that 13.7 million tons of petroleum artifacts were produced in the country last year and said, “I would like to state that we have reached a record level in the production of diesel oil with AI-92 branded fuel in 2022.” he said.

Akçulakov stated that natural gas production was realized as 53.2 billion cubic meters in 2022, and that their plans for this year are 55 billion cubic meters of production.

Akçulakov also stated that expansion activities were carried out in the country’s 3 largest oil fields in order to increase annual oil production in the coming years.
