According to the statement made by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Dönmez adds a new stop to the power diplomacy traffic it has been carrying out in recent months.
Lastly, Dönmez made a visit to Bulgaria and North Macedonia, and will go to Baku for the 9th Advisory Committee Meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor tomorrow.
It is envisaged that Dönmez will share information on the last point Turkey has reached in its goal of a power trade center at the “Ministerial Session” of the meeting, whose opening speech will be made by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
Within the scope of the visit, Minister Dönmez is expected to hold bilateral meetings with many names, including Kadri Simson, Member of the European Union Committee in Charge of Power, and to invite his colleagues and branch representatives about the Istanbul Gaz Hill, which will be held on February 14-15.
Agreement was signed with Bulgaria.
During Dönmez’s visit to Sofia, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Boru Borders and Petrol Tasima AŞ and Bulgargaz. According to the agreement, Bulgaria will supply approximately 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year from Turkey for 13 years.
