Varank, who went to Silicon Valley, the heart of technology and innovation, at the beginning of the week as part of his visit to the USA, shared the details of the meetings held at Tesla’s Fremont Factory.
Referring to Tesla’s position in the world market, Varank said, “Tesla is one of the car brands of the future in the automotive industry. It is currently trying to expand its influence all over the world, its market. One of the largest companies in China is trying to be influential in the European market with its factory in Germany, It also wants to enter the Turkish market.” said.
“Due to their internal evaluation, the process took a little longer”
Stating that the company is in talks about coming to the Turkish market, Varank said, “Tesla’s activities related to entering the Turkish market with charging stations are currently continuing. Actually, they were going to come to Turkey earlier, but the process took a little longer due to their own internal evaluations.” he said.
Emphasizing that they care about Tesla’s investment in technology in Turkey, Varank said, “Turkey has a very important incentive system, especially in terms of investment and R&D. We said, ‘Come, benefit from this, invest.’ It is valuable for them to enter the market, but for us. “It is valuable for them to invest in technology and production. We have submitted our proposals for these. Currently, Tesla already has suppliers from Turkey.” used his words.
– “We will continue negotiations in the next period”
Noting that the company is the only supplier in Turkey, and that they have works produced only in Turkey, Varank said:
“The use of such an infrastructure is valuable for us. We will continue negotiations in the coming period. We invite global brands from all over the world to our country. We invite all companies in different branches, as well as in the automotive industry, to invest in Turkey. As you know, after Kovid-19, there is a great deal of interest in price chains in the world. “We are experiencing a change and transformation. Western countries are in search of different suppliers. Turkey is one of the most valuable alternatives. In this sense, we want to cooperate with Tesla as well. We made our offers.”
Mustafa Varank also stated that Turkey’s work with Tesla is not limited to the automotive industry, and that Tesla CEO Elon Musk first came to Turkey to market SpaceX rockets, and that after the visit, Turkey’s Türksat 5A and Türksat 5B satellites were delivered to SpaceX. He reminded that Turkey was one of SpaceX’s first customers.
Varank also stated that there is a sincere interest between President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Elon Musk.
