The Ministry of Commerce has now announced that a measure will be implemented regarding cement prices.
The following terms were used in the ministry statement:
The developments in our construction department, which has a valuable burden in our economy and which directly and indirectly concerns many departments and the welfare of our citizens, are closely followed by our Ministry and also monitored in terms of foreign trade.
These works were added to the “List of Goods for Export” on September 4, 2021, in order to closely monitor the exports of cement and clinker, which are used heavily in the construction sector, primarily with the aim of meeting the domestic demand, and to ensure that the necessary measures can be taken on time.
Due to the heavy notifications to our Ministry that there has been persecution in the domestic supply of the works in question, and the increases observed by our Ministry in the domestic sales prices of the mentioned works, especially in the last 1-2 months, necessary measures will be taken by our Ministry to prevent price increases and to relieve the domestic supply of these works, without delay. . In the event that the positive effects expected by our Ministry on the market to be created by these measures are not at the desired level, it would be beneficial to inform the relevant parties that in addition to the measures taken, additional measures will not be avoided.
