The company’s net profit, on the other hand, declined to 55 million dollars in the 4th quarter of last year, with a decrease of approximately 91 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. Netflix’s net profit in the last quarter of 2021 was $607 million.
The profit per share of the company also decreased from $1.33 to $0.12 in one-to-one turnover.
The number of subscribers has exceeded 230 million worldwide
Netflix’s subscribers increased by 7.7 million in the last quarter of last year.
The number of subscribers of Netflix, which exceeded expectations, was expected to increase by 4.5 million in this period.

The number of subscribers of the company had decreased by 200 thousand in the first quarter of 2022 and by 970 thousand in the second quarter. Thus, for the first time, Netflix lost subscribers for two consecutive quarters. Following the losses in the first half of last year, Netflix’s subscriber count started to recover again in the second half.
Netflix co-founder Hastings steps down as CEO
On the other hand, it has been announced that Netflix’s founding partner, Reed Hastings, has left his position as chief executive officer (CEO) and will continue his mission in the company as the leader of the governing council.
It has been reported that Hastings will be replaced by Greg Peters, the company’s Chief Operating Officer, and Ted Sarandos will continue to serve as Co-CEO.
