Turkey’s economy posted a record foreign trade deficit in the first month of the new year.
According to the discontinuous data announced by the Minister of Trade Mehmet Muş, exports in January increased by 10.4% compared to the same month of the previous year and amounted to 19.4 billion dollars.
Imports amounted to 33.7 billion dollars. Following these numbers, the foreign trade deficit reached a record level of 14.3 billion dollars.
