According to the statement made by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, it was stated that the measurement station and the pipe border that will transfer the natural gas in the Sakarya Gas Field to the national system have been completed, within the scope of the works in the natural gas field to be connected to the national system in March.
In the statement, “Domestic gas will be subjected to certain processes after it comes to Filyos Natural Gas Processing Facility with special pipes 170 kilometers off the sea. The processes here will be carried out by Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO). Subsequently, Black Sea gas will be transmitted to BOTAŞ to be connected to the national system. “The gas to be tested at BOTAŞ will then be transmitted to the pipe boundary to be delivered to the residences”.
In the first stage, 10 million cubic meters of gas will be transferred
Although 10 million cubic meters of gas will be transferred daily from the field in the first stage, it was stated in the statement that Filyos Natural Gas Measurement Station was designed with a daily capacity of 50 million cubic meters, and that the measurement station and pipeline that will transfer the gas to the national system were completed by BOTAŞ groups.
The statement included the following information:
In order to connect the domestic gas to the national system, in the first stage, the teams put into use special transition applications in the 36-kilometer pipe boundary laying.
Within the scope of the project, 87 points such as road, stream and power transmission borders were implemented. This app accounted for 10 percent of the total pipeline.
In addition to these, special transitions were made in the settlements. One of the most valuable factors pushing the teams was the slope. Sometimes, special equipment was used on the pipeline route, 65 percent of which consists of high sloping land.
