According to the results of the Household Labor Force Survey; The number of unemployed persons aged 15 and above increased by 23 thousand people in November 2022 compared to the previous month and reached 3 million 576 thousand people. Unemployment rate remained unchanged at 10.2 percent. While the unemployment rate was 8.8% for men, it was estimated as 12.9 percent for women.
The number of people employed increased by 285 thousand people in November 2022 compared to the previous month and became 31 million 574 thousand people, while the employment rate increased by 0.4 points to 48.6 percent. While this rate was 65.7 percent for men, it was 31.7 percent for women.

Labor force participation rate is 54.1 percent
In November 2022, the labor force increased by 308 thousand people compared to the previous month and realized as 35 million 150 thousand people, while the labor force participation rate increased by 0.5 percentage points to 54.1 percent. The labor force participation rate was 72.1% for men and 36.4% for women.
Unemployment rate among the young population, which covers the 15-24 age group, became 17.8 percent with a decrease of 2.6 percentage points compared to the previous month. Unemployment rate in this age group; It was assumed as 14.4 percent for men and 23.9 percent for women.
The average weekly actual working time, adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects, of those employed during the reference period, increased by 0.1 hours compared to the previous month and reached 44.4 hours in November 2022.
Broadly defined unemployment is 20.8 percent.
The rate of idle labor force consisting of time-related underemployment, potential labor force and the unemployed became 20.8 percent in November 2022 with an increase of 0.5 percentage points compared to the previous month. While the combined rate of time-related underemployment and unemployed is 14.3 percent, the combined rate of potential workforce and unemployed is 16.9 percent.
